![]() ![]() Once in a while you'll get stupid ants that go and make their own colony and expand on your behalf, without your interference. You can get rituals to build walls around your pyramids, and to build guardian statues that are quite decent for their price as well. The desert warriors on foot or on camel are pretty great troops for their price, and you won't be gold-starved so utilize them. You can get recruitable camel leaders who have 4 move making them pretty great for flagging uncontested resources. The Scourge King is the only one of his kind, and his spells are amazing. Heralds can be upgraded to Scourge Lords once you have a Scourge King. You don't get recruitable leaders that can do your magic, you have to create heralds. Use life force to get some decent scourge creatures for 50, or excellent ones for 150. Later you can get 250g 250 iron tower of power, I haven't got there yet but assume it effects adjacent +2 tiles. Pillars effect adjacent tiles, pyramids effect adjacent +1 tiles. ![]() So it's best to turn newer pillars into pyramids as less of the land is already drained around them. This is based on the tiles around them (ancient forests best, then forests, then settlements, deserts hills and mountains are worthless, water has low income but won't become desert) which they slowly drain and turn into deserts. Ideal pillars have 15, pyramids have 50 life force production per turn. Pick your best pillar to become a pyramid, save for it (75g 75 iron). Focus on iron early, so your herald can build pillars and get you life force. ![]()
